BG3 Tattoos and Makeups

BG3 Tattoos and Makeups

Ever since I found the tattoos with cool designs in BG3 character creations, I want to “make it to Skyrim”. I didn’t know how to do it at that time. But I do know Replacing Vanilla textures is Not a option. It gotta be something with Racemenu. Fortunately, there’s a tutorial how to implement that. Instead of overwriting existing warpaints, we’ll use a quest to allow Racemenu to load our own textures, a custom script is needed of course.

In short, I bring over all 48 BG3 Tattoos (or Warpaints), and you can change them in Racemenu.

How to use?

->Simple guide on Youtube.

  • A) In game, press ”~” key and type showracemenu, go to “Makeups” tab, choose the first slot, set color first (make sure the alpha is not 0%), confirm it, then press “T” to select textures (type “BG3” in the filter).  Optionally you can have 2 or more Tattoos (…in multiple slots) at the same time.
  • B) I added a Magic Mirror Spell Tome, which can be purchased from Belethor general store, Risaad the Khajiitt, and Ysolda.[Requires SPID]. This magic mirror can open the limited version of Racemenu to change makeups at any time (but can not change the race/sex types).

Resolution File

This mod has a SKSE.ini file, which set texture resolution to 2048 (this mod’s textures are 2048x2048). You can edit it based on your choice. or remove the entire .ini file (the Tattoos may look like pixels tho)
